சடைய நாயனார்

சைவவளமும், செல்வமும் கொழிக்கும் திருநாவலூர் நகரில் ஆதிசைவர் மரபில் சடையனார் என்னும் சிவத்தொண்டர் பிறந்தார். இவரது மனைவியார் பெயர் இசைஞானியார்.

தமிழுலகம் செய்த தவப்பயனாக சுந்தரமூர்த்தி சுவாமிகள் இவரது மகனாகப் பிறந்தார். தமது மகனை நரசிங்கமுனையார் தம்மோடு அழைத்துப் போக எண்ணிய போது இவர் மன்னரது அன்பிற்குக் கட்டுப்பட்டு குழந்தையை மறுமொழி பேசாது அனுப்பி வைத்த பெருமையயைப் பெற்றவர்.

சுந்தரமூர்த்தி சுவாமிகள், தாம் பாடியருளிய திருத்தொண்டத் தொகையில் பல இடங்களில் தம் பெற்றோர்களைப் பற்றிச் சிறப்பித்துக் கூறியுள்ளார். திருதொண்டத் தொகை பாடி உலகையெல்லாம் உய்வித்த தெய்வபுதல்வனை ஈன்ற சடைய நாயனாரும், இசைஞானியாரும் இறைவன் திருவடி நீழலை அடைந்து இன்புற்றனர்.

குருபூஜை: சடையனார் நாயனாரின் குருபூஜை மார்கழி மாதம் திருவாதிரை நட்சத்திரத்தில் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

அரனடியே அடைந்திட்ட சடையனுக்கு அடியேன்.
